End of Year Book and Writing INSANITY Linkup

Hiya everyone! :) Cait and Mime are hosting the End of Year Book and Writing INSANITY Linkup! :D I'm gonna be doing the writer's questions, since I am a writer.... Anyway. Click the button above to go and get the questions for yourself, and get in on the giveaway they're having! :D

1. How many books did you write this year? (Estimate your overall wordcount for us too!)
Two--plus I've started two more. Overall word count was about 90k.
2. Which was your favourite to write?

I think my favorite is Painted Skies. It's pretty fun getting to see Catrinity's world :)
3. Which was the hardest to write?

Ok. Let's see. The hardest to write? Um. I would have to say... that my Alexis story (yes that untitled one where I posted the prologue who knows how long ago!)
4. Tell us about you favourite Male Character you wrote this year!

Favorite male character.... Manic. He pretty awesome to write about. XD
5. And how about your favourite Female Character?

Um. Can I say all of my female characters? I don't know. Maybe Janelle (NaNo novel)
6. Can you introduce us to some awesome sidekick(s)?

Oh, wow. Sidekicks? Is that what it says? Um. I do--Manic and Karina? I guess they're sidekicks to Catrinity....
7. Any romances in your writing? Which couple didn't go together as expected?
Nope. Sorry, no romance.
8. What's your favourite Pinterest Board for one of your books? Can we see some pics for the book they inspire?

Ok. I like to go to Willow Silver Black's Board Story Characters and get all my inspiration for characters. :)
These are a couple pics for my Alexis story:

9. What challenges did you compete in this year? (NaNos? Personal goals? Challenges run by other blogs?) And how did you go?

I did NaNoWriMo and GoTeenWriters's 100 for 100. They both worked really well for me! :D
10. Show us the full cast in pictures from one of your books.

Full cast, huh? Um. Let me admit something. I don't have a full cast. But I have a kinda full cast for Alexis's family. :/

ALEXIS

ABIBA

ABENI

ABIGAIL

ABA

ABIA

ABANA
And that's all I've got. :/ For the family....
11. Epic quote(s) you wrote?
Um. Did you write quotes? Let me see...
"The past has come and gone, the present is ever happening, God, and the future is always growing closer." -Blaze from Keep Moving Forward
12. Last word from your manuscript(s)! Go!

Keep Moving Forward:
word.
Finding My Voice:
voice.
13. First sentences from your manuscript(s)!
Keep Moving Forward:
"Dad?" My voice sounded too hopeful.
Finding My Voice:
“Children, children, quiet done please. Morgan,” Mrs. Watts pointed a finger to the back of the room.
Painted Skies:
How could he? Why did he?He swore years ago to standby my side through the hard times. I don't see why this once he should disown me.

14. Show us your favourite funny scene!
Funny? That's says funny, right? I'm not great at that sort of thing...
Finding My Voice:

“Well, it ends up that your mom and Mrs. Keball ran into each other at the store. They talked and talked and talked some more before your mother suggested that the Keballs come over for dinner. Mrs. Keball immediately accepted—according to your mom.” Dad shrugged.
“Wow, that is really weird, I mean, Mama just invited someone over? Like, without even fully knowing the person? What if it’s a bandit is disguise,” I plopped the dough into a new bowl where it could rise.

15. Show us a snippet of dialogue you're proud of.

I yanked on one of the green dreadlocks, curse the wretched things. I took one more look at the little girl next to me and I can see that her true color is blue.
Blue. The very best of colors to be. Loyal. Trustworthy. Smart. Calm. Faithful. Natural. Stable. Powerful. I had thought Jose the same.
I sat but a moment longer, watching the girl run to her mother, the one that had birthed her. How I wished I knew who my mother had been. How I wish I could be loved and known again--instead of silent, unwanted, and invisible.

16. Tell us about some funny typos or writer-bloopers you've had this year!
Typo... hahahahahahahaha. Once I published a bit of my book on here and then later my mom pointed out that the word "Adam" was in there and was asking who it was. Later I figured out that the word was supposed to be "march". LOL
17. What has writing taught you about yourself this year?

That different people go through different things in their life. Some are hard and the others might be easy.
18. Best piece of writing advice you learnt this year?

First drafts are supposed to be junk, they aren't supposed to be anywhere near perfect.
19. Anything big on the horizons for next year? Plans to query? Publish? Edit?

Edits, edits, and more edits. I start editing my NaNo novel on January 7th, and I canNOT wait!!!! :D
20. Tell us a bit about a book you're super excited to write in 2014!

I'm growing more and more excited about the book I would like to write for NaNoWriMo next year. EEEEEKK! Ok, I'm creeping myself out. I want to write Forgotten Promise next year along  with the working title Loving Her. And I would kind of want to finish Painted Skies first. ;)

So... Wow, that was really fun! :D Thanks Cait and Mime for doing this!! :D

You must be writing a really inspiring book. That's so awesome. :) And wasn't the 100x100 challenge awesome??! It helped me write WAY more then I would have otherwise.
